Mr. K.M. Joseph is the Chief Executive Officer.

He holds a first class combined certificate of competency (Steam and Motor), is a Member institute of Engineers India (M.I.E) and Fellow of Institute of Marine Engineers India. He has served on 14 ships of Shipping Corporation of India during a period of 10 years (1965- 1974) out of which 4 years as Chief Engineer.

Mr. Joseph was called to the shore management of SCI in 1975 and held various management positions in Shipping Corporation of India becoming General Manager Tankers in 1992 controlling Technical and Commercial Management of 45 Nos. Tankers (including Suez Max Tankers, VLCCs, Afra Max Tankers, Product Tankers, etc).

He was promoted to Group General Manager (Bulk Carrier & Tanker Division, Shipping Corporation of India) in May, 1997.

In December 1997 Government of India appointed Mr. Joseph as Director (Bulk Carrier & Tanker Division) and member of the Board of Directors. As Director, Mr. Joseph managed the Technical, Commercial and Financial operations of Seventy Five (75) Ships consisting of Crude tankers, Product tankers, Bulk Carriers, Chemical Tankers, Gas carriers and also LNG carriers (Liquid Natural Gas).

He has also held the following positions:

» Director on Board of Indian Register of Shipping (IRS)
» Director on Board of BIMCO from 1998 to 2005 (Baltic and International Maritime Council)
» Director on Boards of Indian LNG-1 and LNG- II (Joint Venture LNG Shipping Companies)
» Member of International Committee of Bureau Veritas (classification Society) from 1998 to 2004
